Control Your Input
Closed Published by lesleeunruh March 27th, 2009 in Leadership Nuggets from the PresidentRemember, your mind is your ultimate personal computer. Sometimes you might forget to turn on your mental virus protection program, allowing negative thoughts to invade your mind — without you realizing it. The computer adage “Garbage in, garbage out” as it applies to your mind should really be “Garbage in, garbage stays.”
Your mind never sleeps. [...]
Orchestrating Your Words
Closed Published by lesleeunruh March 26th, 2009 in Leadership Nuggets from the PresidentWe must all remember the old saying “Choose your words carefully” as a warning of the impact of our words on others and ourselves. Once we speak or hear certain words, they become programmed into our minds. It’s not what we say, but what we repeatedly say. The words we repeat are gradually convincing our [...]
Nuggets of Leadership from Leslee Unruh
Closed Published by lesleeunruh March 24th, 2009 in Abstinence“Everything can be taken from a person but one thing: the last of human freedoms–to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.” Viktor E. Frankl, Psychologist and Holocaust Survivor

Our ability to choose is a gift, but it is also a huge responsibility
Closed Published by lesleeunruh March 20th, 2009 in Leadership Nuggets from the PresidentNo matter what today’s “it’s not my fault” culture encourages, we are all ultimately responsible for our own choices. Teen Birth Rate Up
Closed Published by Jenny March 19th, 2009 in "Comprehensive" Sex Ed, Teenage and Child SexualityWell, duh. After 15 years of providing abstinence education, 26 states have turned back Title V funds used to teach abstinence until marriage education. Is it any wonder why the teen birth rate is up? The kids today are learning that it’s okay to have sex, as long as you are protected. True protection means [...]
I recently read this article in Life Issues Connector. The author, Mary Beth Bonacci wrote this heartfelt “letter” to the man she hopes to marry some day. She stated how she didn’t know how he was living his life today, but it matters to her because it determines the kind of man he would become [...]
