Abstinence Clearinghouse holds the message of sexual abstinence until marriage as the expected standard of behavior for all unmarried people, both children and adults. For this reason, any other sexual relationship outside of marriage is considered unhealthy and places the individual at risk for emotional, physical and psychological harm.

Abstinence Clearinghouse holds the message believes life-long, mutually-faithful marriage is the best relationship to provide a male/female couple with the most satisfaction and general overall well-being. It is better than any other substitute or alternative relationship.
