Washington: Yesterday, during the “Strengthening Programs Through Scientific Evaluation” conference, hosted by the Health and Human Services, Office of Population Affairs and Administration for Children and Families, safe sex advocates stormed the stage and physically accosted Deputy Assistant to the President, Claude Allen.
While abstinence education proponents maintained a professional environment, Allen was aggressively overcrowded as safe sex proponents attempted to take over the podium.

After the police removed the demonstrators, Allen gave a message of strong support for abstinence education because it gives the best chances for the youth to become healthy, well adjusted adults. The group leading the violence was Housing Works. Housing Works advocates the same condom-based sex education as SIECUS, Advocates for youth. Members of SIECUS and Advocates were present and did witness the bullying tactics.

The Abstinence Clearinghouse calls on SIECUS and Advocates for Youth to condemn the violence from safe sex educators.
